Introduction to HOB weekend...

Where do I begin? I am truly at a loss for words as I sit to introduce the next few blog posts.  This weekend was one of the most amazing times of my life.  Was it because the 5 bad brothers from the Beantown land delivered?  Well, that is definitely a major part of it, but there was more to this weekend than the House of Blues show.  It was meeting some of my million sisters.

At first, I was not planning on doing the House of Blues show, because I wanted to go see Joe’s shows, so I was saving my pennies (literally…).  Not even knowing when they were going to be, but knowing I HAD to be there.  With that Jess and I decided to opt out of this one concert.  How hard could it be?  The night it was announced that tickets would be on sale that Saturday, my aunt called.  We talked our usual nonsense and I brought up our plan to opt out.  She said, “Well that is sad.  You should try to go.”  I explained we didn’t really have the money to pull all of it off and she let it slide.

Friday’s presale came and went.  A lot of my sisters got tickets.  I was thrilled for them, but it hurt.  Saturday came and well, that hurt too.  I didn’t have time to focus though, because I had a charity event to set up for, so I got dressed and paid my dues.  I was driving when I got a text from my aunt saying, “get here now…I have a BIG surprise for you.”  I HAAAAATE surprises, so I got really anxious, what could it be?  So I put the pedal to the metal.  Finally getting there, I ran through the parking lot to where my aunt was standing.  There she was…holding a sign.  “HAVE A FUNKY FUNKY CHRISTMAS KERRI & JESS!!!” I gave her a weird look, until she pulled out a confirmation for two HOB tickets!  Jess wasn’t there, so I had to scream for both of us.  I ran around the parking lot screaming, you’d think I won the lotto and in some cases…I did.  Without my aunt this amazing weekend would not have happened.

Before I get into the details of the weekend, I just want to thank all the amazing sisters I have met, planned on meeting or shared a quick moment with.   I love you all and without you, this incredible journey would not have happened.  I am honored to have you all in my life.

Now let’s get to the goods….
